I have many friends, but my best friend is Ratan. He is the best boy in our class. Although he is intelligent and a very good student, he is not at all proud. Besides, he is very kind-hearted also. If anyone falls ill, Ratan is the first to pay him a visit. His parents are very cordial.
If anybody is sad, he is sad too. In fact, he comes forward to help anybody at any time. Ratan is also a very good sportsman. He plays football and cricket in our school team and has bagged many prizes. His manners and behavior attract everybody. All these qualities have made him so different from others.
He is very dear to me and we are very intimate with each other. We share our thoughts and feelings. He comes to my place almost every day in the afternoon and we go out together. I like him very much.

Write a paragraph in 100 – 120 words describing how reading the newspaper daily will help you to develop your language
Newspapers are an important part of our life. Some people cannot start their day without reading newspapers. They are printed in various languages and even in local languages. Newspapers are delivered to our doorsteps every morning. Newspapers are one of the easiest methods of spreading news and information around the world. There might be those who read every single news article, irrespective of what they speak about. There are also people who read only what interests them. For some, it might be politics; for some, it might be sports; while for others, it might be technology. Though the number of people subscribing to printed newspapers is reducing day by day, there are still some who prefer reading them rather than the digital versions of the news on their personal phones or laptops.

I want to get success in my life. And to get it you should be creative, intelligent, hard¬ working. You’ll never get success if you wait for someone to bring it to you. You have to get up and get it yourself.
I also hope to go to university and get a degree. A lot of my friends plan to go abroad and start their career there. Some of them do not want to return home. As for me, I would like to have an interesting job in my country. I hope to have a successful career.

Imagine you are the young man in the story ‘The Journey’ and write a diary entry expressing your guilt after reaching your place of work.
5th Oct. 2023 Thursday. 9:30 pm
Dear Diary,
Today I have made a big mistake. I allowed my father to carry my trunk.  My education, my white-collar job and my pride stopped me from carrying my luggage.  Another thing is my guilty feeling.  I have no dignity of  labour.  I only have false prestige.  I could not stop father from carrying my trunk.  Father walked the pebble-strewn hilly road bare feet.  I did not even notice that.  I felt very much guilty when he asked for my old pair of shoes.   I should not have allowed him to carry my luggage. I should have shared his burden.   I should follow the dignity of labour hereafter.  Otherwise, all my education and my officer job is a waste.
